Viper David & Golia knives description
Viper David and Golia knives are a series of tactical knives designed by famous knife designer Tommaso Rumici, made by Viper by Tecnocut. Viper David and Golia knives have blade and handle made of the same material; they differ only in size. The smaller David has overall length of 22.7 cm, blade length of 10.5 cm and the weight of 260 grams. The bigger model Viper Golia is 24.7 cm long, has 12.5 cm long blade and weight 280 g.
David and Golia are designed as knives for combat and utility tactical use.

Viper David & Golia blade
Both models, David and Golia, have drop-point blade design, but they not differ just by the length, but also by spine shape. Blade of David knife has the second part of the blade spine narrowed, but not sharpened; it is more classical combat drop-point design.
Viper Golia has longer blade, and the thickest part of the blade is at spine. Golia has also couple of notches more for thumb resting than David.
They both have plain edge and the blade thickness of 5.8 mm. Both models have one-piece, full-tang construction, with the tang to the end the handle. Although the blade is robust it is very precisely manufactured
Viper David & Golia blade material
Viper David and Golia have handles made of very tough and stiff tool steel AISI D2. The main characteristic of tool steel is next to toughness and stiffness very high edge abrasion resistance. The AISI D2 tool steel is often characterized as semi-stainless steel and can also it can be used for every day purposes with any problems. Although the blades of Viper David and Golia have blades covered with special PVD coatings. A PVD coating totally protects the blade from any corrosion. It has a black color and also giver a mat, non-reflective appearance and the blade; therefore it does not reflect and can be used also at night. PVD Physical Vapour Deposition is a process, where very thin layers of special metals are vaporized and then, when condensing, coated on the blade surface.
The surface hardness of the blade is 58/60 HRC.
Viper David & Golia handle
Handle scales are made of black canvas. Canvas scales have thanks to unique Viperskin textured surface finish excellent grip, even when the handle is wet or covered with mud or other liquids. Scales are removable and are fastened with 2 hex screws. The handle is plane on a side, and has ribbons for better grip. At the bottom of the handle, it has a sling hole.
Viper David & Golia sheath
David & Golia knives come with a very sophisticated tactical sheath made of Cordura®. The sheath has a ballistic rubber core for placing the knife. On the front side of a sheath is an additional pocket for placing a sharpening tool or any other tool.
The sheath has several possibilities for placing it. At first, it is MOLLE compatible, which means, it can be placed on any MOLLE compatible tactical jacket or rucksack. The MOLLE system is used by great majority of NATO army force and their allies.
The sheath can be normally placed on belt or trousers, and additionally fastened on a leg with a strap.
